Pair of Jars by Patrick Carpentier

€430.00

Patrick Carpentier began working with ceramics during an artist residency in Hanoi in 2019. Confronted with South Asian traditions, he turned to containers as a new form of exploration, drawing inspiration from Korean moon jars, Dogon jars from Mali, South African beer pots, and medieval European ceramics. His pieces reflect a search for form, history, and material that connects past and present.

This pair of jars is made from black clay with a white glaze applied to the surface. The glaze creates subtle variations in tone and texture, highlighting the rounded forms and the contrast between the raw clay and the smooth glazed areas.

Each work comes with a signed certificate. Every piece is unique, and any irregularities or cracks that appear are not flaws but an integral part of the process and the finished work.

Size: 24.52 cm x 24.52 cm x 23 cm (big) / 15.28 cm x 15.28 cm x 15 cm (small)
